Senior Horseshoes 2026

A Senior Class tradition! Cap off your Senior year by painting your personalized horseshoe print on the sidewalks of BVN! Seniors have the option to paint their own horseshoe OR to have an artist paint their horseshoe (with design input from the student). Basic supplies and paint will be provided. If you would like stencils and/or specialized paintbrushes or painters' tape, please bring those with you!

HORSESHOE DESIGNS:
All horseshoes are 2' wide x 2.5' long horseshoe print. They may include name, jersey #, images or can be covered in a style that represents your personality.

**DESIGN SUBMISSION AND APPROVAL**

School appropriate designs will need to be submitted to and approved by BVN Administrators by March 27th. Design submissions can be sent to Michael Moss, MRMoss@bluevalleyk12.org for approval.

The official Senior Block Party painting date is being finalized.

We'll have a date and rainout date announced very soon!

Once payment and registration have been received, you will automatically receive an email with a horseshoe template. Please use that template to submit your design for approval.

I don't want to paint my senior horseshoe, but I will offer direction and pay $50 for a volunteer to personalize a horseshoe for me. I understand that the horseshoe may not be completed immediately. $50.00

FAQ's

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

ALL SENIORS! You don't need to be an athlete or in any school sponsored activities to participate. The only requirement is that you are a senior!

HOW LONG WILL THE HORSESHOES REMAIN?
Horseshoes will remain on the sidewalks for the remainder of the school year only. They will be painted over before next school year.

WHAT IS PROVIDED?
All paint and one (1) paint brush per student will be provided. You will need to bring stencils, and any additional paint brushes/supplies you'd like to complete your design.

CAN I CHANGE MY DESIGN AFTER IT'S BEEN APPROVED?
No, only approved designs can be painted. If you decide to paint anything other than what has been approved, your horseshoe print will be painted over, and no refund will be given.

IS FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE?
YES! If the cost to have a personalized horseshoe print is prohibitive, please contact Michael Moss, MRMoss@bluevalleyk12.org. No student will be turned down for an inability to pay this fee.
