All students who will be riding on a parade vehicle or walking in the parade must have a signed waiver on file. Please complete one form PER PARTICIPATING STUDENT by end of day Tuesday, September 29th. If a student does not have a waiver completed, they will not be able to participate in the parade.

Please direct any Homecoming related questions to the BVN Activities Director, Katie Pearson: KIPearson@bluevalleyk12.org. All Homecoming events are managed by the school. In support of the Homecoming parade festivities, the BVN PTO is facilitating the collection of parade waivers and providing pizza, DJ, fireworks, food trucks, and prize money for the float winners.

Parade Waiver

I acknowledge that I have read and understood the waiver terms as detailed below. By signing below, I confirm my acceptance and agreement to these terms.

I hereby grant permission for my child, listed above, to attend and participate in the 2026 Blue Valley North (“BVN”) High School Homecoming Parade on Wednesday, September 30th, 2026.

I hereby authorize the BVN staff to act for me and in my place, according to their best judgment, in any emergency requiring medical attention for my child. I hereby waive and release the BVN staff from any liability for my child’s death or any injury or illness incurred by my child while participating in the Homecoming Parade. I have no knowledge of any physical impairment that would be affected by my child participating in the Homecoming Parade.

I hereby agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Unified School District No. 229 and its board members, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, actions, lawsuits, and other proceedings, judgments, awards, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees), arising directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, out of or as a result of my child’s participation in the Homecoming Parade.
